Jon and I celebrated the longest day of the year by setting up the hammock he got for Father's Day. Among the perks to living in the PNW is that we're far enough north to enjoy light well into the night hours during the summer. The sun didn't set until about 9:15 and we enjoyed the gorgeous views of the sunset, Puget Sound, and the San Juan Islands while swinging, suspended between two trees in what will be our yard. Another beautiful sight from our hammock: the finished foundation for our home. We are so blessed.

happy thanksgiving!

Tonight we're most grateful for wonderful friends who have become family to us here in Utah. It's such a blessing to feel so welcomed and so at home in the Miller's presence. We ate a fabulous Thanksgiving feast with them, which was quite fitting because this is the first year besides our missions we've spent away from our families, and it's the last year we will be here and able to share this tradition of bounty and blessings with some of the best, most humble people we know. We will miss the Miller family greatly when we move, and look forward to having them on our list of people to visit in Utah.
