4 months and 10 days (tuesday january 5)

Emory weighed in at 13 pounds 15 ounces and measured 24.6 inches tall

he's still little (25th-29th percentile), but he's catching up fast, considering his 12th percentile place 2 months ago

and we're pretty sure he's brilliant... he loved being surrounded by all his doting fans over the holidays and while in Washington he developed so much. he has finally rolled over a few more times (he did it for the first couple times during his first week and a couple times since), although he's strong enough it doesn't happen often because the little man HATES being on his belly; he decided that his doorway jumper is fun and can't wait for it to come in the mail; he transitioned well between time zones and several houses, still sleeping through the night; he's saying more and more consonant sounds, including "g," "d," "n," and "m;" he learned how to spit; he started teething; he LOVES to stand; he talks and squeals so much, and loves to join in on lively conversations; he plays a new game of chattering as loud as possible in the car so he'll stay awake; he tried rice cereal for the first time and decided to wait a little while before he tries it again; he loves to be read to; we could go on and on...

anyway, being a parent is amazing and so rewarding. we love this little man!
