we're in love

with autumn

though it ends too soon in Utah, with all the red leaves already fallen and snow threatening to come from the skies
at least the aspens are sticking it through; their yellow tops color the mountainsides

we were all a bit discouraged by this (cousin Dan included); he came for dinner this week and it was delightful--he even did the dishes!

we'll have to have him over more often since he lives about 2 minutes away and he is the only blood family claimed in Utah, even if it is very little blood we share
